Senior Supply Chain Planner

My client is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to support production and customer needs on there established site in the Merseyside area.

The Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the analysts to ensure parts are available to support production and customer needs

  • Manage inventory levels in line with corporate objectives

  • Provide support in the management of suppliers

  • Manage normal and premium inbound freight to ensure material is available and costs are minimised

  • Support freight cost reduction initiatives

  • Manage the plan for every part data (PFEP) in line with plant policies

  • Support local Processes and Procedures in line with TS16949

  • Produce Key Performance Indicators of the supply chain

  • Play an active role in the development of systems

Experience

  • Candidates will be certified to Degree level (or equivalent) with previous experience in Supply Chain, preferably within a high volume, automotive manufacturing environment.

  • They must have proven experience in building positive supplier and customer relationships and be flexible in order to meet business demands.

  • Candidates must be PC literate, have excellent organisational and communicational skills as well as a strong sense of urgency and an ability to work under pressure.

  • They must be confident decision makers and proactive problem solvers, with a hands-on approach.

  • They must have the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.

  • Weekend working as necessary and being available by phone at the weekend to deal with shortages or parts issues, is a requirement of this role.
