Market Leading Engineering Manufacturer

Blackburn / Burnley / Presteon

£30,000 - £33,000

We are looking for a Shift Manager to lead and drive performance at their established automotive engineering site commutable from Blackburn/Burnley/Preston. We are looking for an automotive candidate with experience supervising a fast paced assembly process. If this sounds like you, APPLY NOW!

The Role

  • Reporting to the Production Manager

  • Ensure the team works to exemplary health and safety standards

  • Drive performance of the team through KPIs, strong people skills and leadership

  • Manage labour and man hours ensuring sufficient staff are allocated to each shift and production line

  • Oversee that systems, procedures and staff duties are followed in accordance with the companies' rules, regulations and operating guidelines

  • 5S, housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment on the production line

  • Seek ways to make production more effective including using LEAN tools and techniques, measuring takt times and improving process flow

  • Preventative Maintenance

The Person

  • Will be an accomplished Shift Manager

  • EXPERIENCE OF CNC MACHINING IS CRUCIAL

  • Previous experience using lean, streamlined manufacturing methods is crucial

  • Able to work independently using inventiveness and initiative

  • Experience with Robotics is preferred
