Software Engineer

North Wales (Open to flexible work arrangements)

£50 per hour inside IR35

6 Month Contract (potential for extension)

We are currently looking to recruit a Software Engineer on behalf of our client who is based in the North Wales area.

THE ROLE:

The successful Software Engineer will be responsible for writing, testing and validating software. Following the full software engineering life cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global automotive company.

KEY ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Writing C code for control systems ( C programming is essential for this role)

• V&V testing and automated validation tests.

• Python / Matlab / Simulink

• Misra C

• Strong understanding of CAN protocol

• Demonstrate experience of writing applications for embedded systems

• Debugging

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience in an embedded software engineering role

• Writing C industry experience

• Experience coding for safety critical applications

• Exposure to the full software development life cycle

• Ability to work using their initiative but also lead and mentor the team

• Excellent decision making skills with an ability to solve complex issues

• Ability to work to tight deadlines
