THE ROLE

The Software Engineer will be a valued member of the existing team and will designing and developing software for next-generation Military Software Solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will be developing new software, modifying existing software and identifying emergent technical issues, document, and then investigate to find appropriate solutions. You will be working in an Agile development environment to develop the product to meet our clients ever changing needs. Working with Mat-lab for prototyping and C++, supporting application development.

• Reading into the already produced design documents to understand the connecting equipment, data flows and PCIe cards

• Liaising with the team members to understand the already existing and working software that is needed to be encapsulated in the software architectural design

• Implementing the design, ensuring the equipment runs in real time

• Maintenance and bug fixing of the hardware software drivers and receiver software

• Optimisation of software for real time performance, including the potential of converting Mat lab code to C++ using the Mat lab "mex" functionality

• Conducting FAT and user acceptance testing

THE PERSON

• Experience with phases of the software development life-cycle.

• Exposure working with Mat lab for prototyping and C++

• BEng/BSc in Computer Science/other relevant STEM subject or relevant working experience.
