Supply Chain Director


Our global Aerospace client based is searching for a driven Supply Chain Director to manage multiple sites across the UK. This Supply Chain Director role is commutable from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Worcester, Bristol and surrounding areas.
The business are a well established Aerospace business and they are looking for a strategically focused supply chain specialist to oversee the materials, procurement, planning, logistics and functions for their busy and innovative manufacturing facility. The business has industry leading products and this is managing 3 sites.

The Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will take full strategic responsibility for Supply Chain across multi sites. Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for high level spend & strategic full end to end

  • Managing a team consisting of supply chain, procurement, materials, planning & logistics

  • Manage a supply of goods and materials to support the production program

  • Achieve business targets in terms of inventory, cost reductions, supplier performance metrics etc.

  • Develop new sources of supply in line with product requirements

  • Promote a high performance organisation within Supply Chain function

  • Manage working capital with regards to Inventory management and supplier payment

  • Develop and maintain third party shipping providers

  • Lead management of key supplier relationships; encouraging value-based strategic partnerships

The Person

The ideal Supply Chain Director will need to be driven and be able to show true leadership qualities.

  • Must have minimum 1- years' Aerospace experience

  • Metal / raw materials experience; Fabrications/ machining/ assembly

  • Significant experience with managing a team

  • Aerospace supply experience is essential

  • Full end to end strategic

  • Forecasting

  • Stakeholder/ project management

  • A proven track record of enhancing a supply chain and delivering on projects

  • Customer facing

  • Travel to include 20-30%


  • Ideally will have a Supply Chain/Engineering Degree

  • Multi-site would be an advantage
