Fantastic Opportunity!! I am working with an industry leading manufacturing business based locally to Manchester who are going through a sustained period of growth. They are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to join their senior management team. This business have an industry leading range of products and have an impressive growth strategy that will enable excellent opportunities for growth and progression.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a robust supply chain solution to support the achievement of the businesses strategic vision. You will be leading the function , providing a high level of service to internal and external customers through effective management of Production Planning and, Inventory management processes in line with Financial targets. Key responsibilities for the Supply chain manager will include;

  • Implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain
  • Manage the MRP module of the ERP system to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to meet the production plan & customer orders, ensure data integrity and MRP message adherence
  • As Supply Chain Manager, lead the achievement and maintenance of the specified inventory and E&O targets through the use of appropriate inventory optimisation tools, whilst ensuring service levels to customers are met and not compromised. Develop an inventory strategy to ensure action plans are developed and root cause analysis of below target performance are identified and counter measures implemented
  • Setting and monitoring of goals and targets for Supply Chain associates in line with Departmental and Company goals/targets

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Supply Chain manager will need to have worked in a high volume manufacturing environment, where they have overseen Production Planning and, Inventory management processes. Key attributes for the Supply Chain Manager role will be as follows;

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with a Supply Chain function with strong skills in production Planning/ Capacity/ inventory management
  • Essential that you have managed people within a team
  • MRP experience (ideally SAP, although not essential)
  • Self-starter with high energy levels, personal drive and commitment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify
