Our Manufacturing client based in the North Manchester area is searching for a driven and ambitious Supply Chain Supervisor to form part of their management team. This Supply Chain Manager role is commutable from Manchester Bolton / Wigan / Rochdale and surrounding areas.

The business are a well established and highly sought after Automotive business and they are looking for an ambitios Supply Chain professional to oversee the day to day materials, planning, logistics and stores and functions for their busy manufacturing facility. The business has industry leading products and is looking at entering into new markets.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager this role will take day to day responsibility for Supply Chain.

  • To ensure satisfactory customer perfomance via daily contact regarding delivery, quality, design, electronic data interchange

  • Receive and analyse daily customer shipping requirements

  • Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs)

  • Negotiation of costs with suppliers in respect of packaging, transportation and warehousing

  • Help to maintain and optimise inventory accuracy

The Person

The ideal Supply Chain Manager will need to be driven and be able to show true leadership qualities.

Key experiences required:

  • A proven track record of enhancing a supply chain and delivering on projects

  • Familiar with current MRP and ERP systems used in an Automotive / fast paced manufacturing business

  • Automotive supply experience is an advantage

  • Excellent PC skills including strong competence within Microsoft Excel
