Technical Lead - Test

The Role

Reporting to the Test Director, the Technical Lead will lead projects within the Test facility. You will have opportunity to develop technical, project and people management skills within the growing multi-skilled team. The role will also include:

  • Understanding the current status of the capabilities

  • How they can support and offer current and future projects

  • Work with project teams

  • Interactions with project teams

  • Ensuring capabilities available to meet project needs in a timely manner

  • Hands on work

  • Capabilities are kept up to date in line with latest developments

  • Supporting the continuous improvement

  • Showcasing the facility to customers and stakeholders

  • Manage and develop the Test capability

  • You will need to be hands and expected to participate in the test activity

  • Participate in cross functional team and support problem solving and corrective actions

  • Work closely with other team managers

The Person

The experience required of the Technical Lead for the Test facility based in Luton will include:

ESSENTIAL

  • Minimum 5 years Test experience

  • Aero/Defence experience

  • Hardware-in-the-loop/ HIL/ HWIL or power electronic systems

  • Solid engineering design background

  • Electro-mechanical

  • Project management experience

  • Proactive and capable of working on own initiative

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

DESIRABLE

  • Developed vetting (or willing to apply for it)

  • University degree (ideally in mechanical or engineering subject)
