Excellent New Opportunity!! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technical sales engineer to join a leading engineering that specialise in the design and manufacture of specialist pump equipment. They have a well established, global customer base and are going through a significant period of growth.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director, the technical Sales Engineer will take receipt of new and ongoing project enquiries, working directly with existing and new potential customers throughout their patch. Full support and ongoing training will be provided by the Sales Team and Engineering and Technical Departments within the company. The sales engineer will be a key member of the Sales team and will take responsibility for the following;

  • Applying technical product understanding to be proactive in following each enquiry through to quotation
  • seek new business development opportunities in emerging markets
  • Report on a monthly basis on Sales & Marketing initiatives in your area
  • As required, participate in internal functions with the Sales Administration/Project Management
  • Interaction with the European Sales Team and Internal Sales to achieve the goals of the team
  • As Sales Engineer, be responsible for the full sales cycle from start to finish with order conclusion


The Person


The ideal Sales Engineer will need to be dynamic and highly motivated. The business want to attract career driven professionals that fit the following base criteria;

  • 2 years+ experience in a technical sales/ Business development/ account management position
  • Background within a technical engineering industry is ideal (such as machining/ automotive/ aerospace)
  • Direct Sales Experience
  • Willingness to travel, when necessary, is required
  • strong IT skills
  • educated to HNC level or above in relevant qualification an advantage, but not essential
