Training Lead

Global Chemicals Manufacturer

£42,000 - £46,000 + Bonus

I am working with a Blue Chip Chemicals manufacturing organisation who have a requirement for a career focused, highly motivated EHS & Training Lead to join their team! The role will be based from their state of the art facility in Warrington. As a business, they can offer genuine scope for career progression and development opportunities.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the EHS Manager, you will be given full autonomy to develop and implement the business training programmes. You will be managing, delivering and outsourcing mandatory and development training across all employees across the factory and office. Key responsibilities will be as follows;

  • To develop, maintain and ensure effective management of the operational training & assessment programme within the business

  • Provide proactive and reactive advice in all areas of assessment, training and competence within site EHS operations

  • Improve assessment standards and best practice within EHS and deliver a programme of assessor/assessment training

  • Arrange and deliver suitable practical and regulatory training/assessment courses to satisfy the requirements identified

  • Responsible for developing appropriate KPI's in the areas of regulatory training & competency

  • Responsible for the development, maintenance and assessment of training plans specific to each procedure/process

  • Develop and maintain individual training and assessment plans for each member of staff and embedded contractors, in the production facility

THE PERSON

To be considered for this role, you will need to be highly motivated and able to share the company's vision for achieving excellence. You will need to fit the following criteria;

  • Recognised qualification ideally to degree level and will possess a relevant Internal Quality Assurance qualification and/or Assessor qualification or be willing to work towards the TAQA IQA qualification

  • Experience of developing Competence Profiles and working with National Occupational Standards (NOS)

  • Experience of working with NVQ's / Competence-Based Standards within a manufacturing environment

  • Proven skills in designing/leading 'Internal' programmes of training & assessment which cover statutory standards and compliance for EHS
