My client, a global Automotive T1 manufacturer, are looking for a VP Sales. Heading up the UK team, you will work with a variety of international OEM clients.

THE ROLE

The VP Sales will lead in the generation of new business whilst strategically guiding the wider Sales team to grow existing OEM accounts.

Key responsibilities of the VP Sales:

  • Developing and executing a strategy for the businesses UK Automotive business covering the entire project life cycle from conception to completion.

  • Leading a team of over 20 direct/indirect headcount including Sales Managers, Key Account Managers and Junior Account Managers

  • Managing the relationship with existing customers, looking for greater product penetration

  • Ensuring Key Account Managers are accurately deployed with OEM customers

  • Develop, inspire, motivate and manage the team in line with the businesses model

  • Meeting and exceeding annual sales targets

  • Looking at strategic growth and business opportunities with new OEM customers

THE PERSON

Candidates without direct experience in Automotive manufacturing will NOT be considered for the VP Sales

The ideal VP Sales will have:

  • An Automotive background

  • At least 10 years in a Sales role

  • Sound relationship builder and man manager

  • Ambitious and winning personality

  • Strong contacts across the Automotive sector

  • Full UK driving license

  • Willingness to travel

DESIRABLE

  • HND/HNC, Commercial/Technical Degree or equivalent

THE COMPANY

My client is looking to move into new and emerging markets - specifically, electric and autonomous vehicles. The VP Sales will have full autonomy to penetrate a brand new market from scratch, whilst having the opportunity to build on top of an already thriving order book. This role is centralised to the West Midlands and is commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Telford, Stafford and the surrounding areas.
