Warehouse Supervisor

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised Warehouse Supervisor to take over day to day management of the warehouse/logistics. Reporting into the Operations Manager, this person will be responsible for managing a team of 6/7 staff across the Warehouse including admin, logistics operators.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support production planner

  • Day to day management

  • Maintains stock integrity at all times

  • Ensure Production Plan requirements are met

  • High level of care and accuracy with pick operations

  • Package all orders for safe delivery to customers

  • Maintain quality, batch control and traceability of all parts

  • Issuing of stock parts to Assembly

  • To efficiently handle, store, pick and rotate stock working within a team environment

  • Ensure that production operation complies with current HSE legislation;

  • Carrying out re-evaluations, risk assessments and taking prompt action, including any necessary training, whenever appropriate

The Person

For the Warehouse Supervisor at the Chester site we need the following skill set:

  • This role will be a good fit for any ambitious shop floor guys with stand-in or management or supervisory experience OR a Manufacturing Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Team Leader currently

  • Used to working in a KPI led environment

  • Must be highly organised

  • Strong attention to detail is needed; this person must focus on the small but necessary details that others may ignore

  • Self motivated and results driven

  • Ability to multi task

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel

DESIRABLE

  • Aerospace manufacturing

  • Logistics experience

  • Conversant with MRP systems
