We are partnering exclusively with a market leading engineering business who produce specialist, bespoke products to a global customer base. In this exciting Financial Controller role, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership team and the owner of all financial-related reporting and governance. THE ROLE

As Financial Controller, you will report directly to the Group MD and form a key member of the businesses executive leadership team, becoming a key business partner at board level. You will lead the administration of general accounting practices and functions, including maintaining fiscal records, preparing financial reports and performing treasury and tax related functions.

Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation and analysis of variances to budget/forecast; commentary on business drivers.
• Implement robust financial controls and oversee the year-end reporting process
• Preparation of management information, cash flow & working capital reporting.
• Review & implementation of internal controls within the department
• Maintain accurate records with detailed support and analyses aligned for monthly reporting.
• As the Financial Controller, Ad-hoc analysis to support financial reporting, tax & treasury, operational & commercial teams.

THE PERSON

The ideal Financial controller for this role will be comfortable reporting at board level and be highly driven & Career motivated. Key criteria to be consider for the role will be as follows;

• 5 years+ experience in a lead Finance role (financial controller/ Finance Manager or similar)
• Outstanding communication and excellent business partnering skills
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant qualifications would be ideal (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
