Our client is a market leading, high volume manufacturer of Consumer based products, who have a market leading reputation in their field! They are looking for an experienced Materials Planning Manager for the next 9-12 months to join the senior site leadership team.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, the role will have complete responsibility for all Planning activities. You will also be involved with a number of key projects that business are currently rolling out. Key accountabilities in the role will include;

• Implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain
• Manage the MRP module of the ERP system to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to meet the production plan & customer orders, ensure data integrity and MRP message adherence
• End to end Materials S&OP management
• Definition of the Inventory Policy and ensure implementation, including consideration of warehouse capacity
• Where available, increasing the efficiency and stability of the Material and Procurement processes

THE CANDIDATE

This a 9 month contract and as such you will need to be available at short notice. The ideal candidate will need to have worked in a process manufacturing environment. Key attributes for the role will be as follows;

• You MUST be IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE (within 1-3 weeks)
• Strong experience in materials/ Inventory planning within a manufacturing setting
• Self-starter with high energy levels, personal drive and commitment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify
• Must be competent user of MRP systems
