This is an exciting opportunity to work for a reputable automotive supplier with a great reputation in the market and an enviable customer base. The business offers a flexible and attractive package, training and development.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will manage the business's lab function and also manage product inspections and audit processes. You will also manage a small team and their performance.

THE ROLE

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure product audits are completed on time

• Manage the laboratory functions including a team of Technicians

• Manage the process and product inspections and audit process

• Minimise the amount of internal rejects produced

• Prevent customer concerns being raised regarding products

THE PERSON

We are looking for either an established Lab Manager who can step into this role and hit the ground running.

Essential:

• 3 years' experience in a lab environment, including the use of key testing equipment

• Extensive knowledge/experience in testing & measurement

• Management experience

• Experience in writing test procedures

• Solid knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO 9001

• Understanding and review SPC data sets

• Understanding and able to conduct Measurement Systems Analysis and SPC/Control Charting

Preferable:

• Experience with core tools - APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC

• Experience of using GPLM

• Good knowledge and experience of IATF requirements
