The role of the Lead M&E BIM Detailer is to assist the Project Manager to deliver high quality data enriched models and construction drawings and to lead a team of Electrical or mechanical BIM Detailers. This also involves assisting the Project Manager in overall project planning, detailed design development and coordination between all disciplines, managing and adhering to office/client BIM standards. Working as part of established BIM Team directed/supported by Group BIM Manager and other BIM Leads and wider team.
Projects involved include data centres, pharmaceutical, wind farm and various other projects across Ireland and Europe.
Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for production of 3D Construction models from design information/models.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to BIM project team.
* Monitor and ensure project delivery deadlines are planned for and met.
* Where issues arise on project provide early reporting to appropriate management personnel, work to achieve relevant solutions.
* Monitor modelling for any clashing and update drawings.
* Produce 2D drawings from Revit/CAD files.
* 3D coordination of Asset Information Model.
* Develop as built documentation.
* Follow document control processes.
* Liaise with the Project Manager reporting on progress.
* Attend project BIM meetings and other Client and design team related meeting as requested.
* Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the Company.
Role Requirements:
* Suitable Candidate should have a third level degree in Engineering/Construction Management or a minimum of 3 year's relevant work experience.
* 3 Years plus experience is desirable
* Must have experience leading or managing a team.
* Experience in utilizing Autodesk Suite of products.
* Good knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
* Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint, Revit, AutoCAD, FABCAD, Plant 3D,Navis works).
* Good knowledge of M&E services and/or HVAC background.
* Previous experience of producing M&E service drawings.
* The ability to read, interpret and understand specifications and drawings.
* Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines.
