The Client: is a leading construction firm specializing in innovative and sustainable projects across the Netherlands. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on delivering high-quality results, they are at the forefront of the industry. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of construction, and we are currently seeking a talented M&E Quantity Surveyor to join my client's dynamic team for an exciting new build data center project.

Role Overview: As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our new build data center project. Working closely with the project management team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical and electrical quantity surveying, ensuring cost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance throughout the construction process. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge project in a rapidly growing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed measurement and take-off of mechanical and electrical works.

  • Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.

  • Analyze quotations and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and variations, providing regular reports to the project management team.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements.

  • Support the project team in contract administration and claims management processes.

  • Provide expert advice on cost-related matters and assist in resolving disputes or issues as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire suppression.

  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.

  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluency in English; Dutch language skills would be advantageous.
