Exciting opportunity!! We are currently looking for a career driven Manufacturing Engineer for our globally recognised client, a leading engineering business. The Role

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will will be reporting directly to the head of engineering and be responsible for providing engineering support to the Assembly teams for the launch of new products, engineering changes and continuously ensure manufacturing readiness. You will also be participating in Technical feasibility studies, FMEA's, verification of equipment versus standards and safety assessments. As manufacturing engineer, key responsibilities will include;

  • Implementation of best practice into manufacturing areas following group standards
  • Support the 8D process to resolve customer concerns
  • Support 5S activity across the function
  • Recommend Capital Expenditure projects and assist implementation
  • Lead process improvement activities (equipment cycle time reduction, manpower efficiency, process capability improvement, layout improvement)
  • Find innovative solutions to manufacturing problems
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and Legislative requirement (Safety, Environment, BS \ EN)
  • Continually seek cost reduction opportunities

The Person

The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will be career focused and looking to drive themselves forward within the organisation, key criteria for the role will be as follows;

  • 2 years+ industry experience in a manufacturing engineer role (or similar)
  • Must be experienced with technical manufacturing environments, ideally assembly
  • Experience in applying modern Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ideally educated to HNC level or above in relevant engineering discipline
