My client is an industry leading special purpose machinery manufacturer who supply their high value products to a global customer base. They have gone through a significant period of growth over the last 3 years and are looking to expand their design team. This Mechanical design role will suit an individual looking to develop their career within a fast-paced organisation that is going through major growth plans!

THE ROLE

The Design engineer will be a integral member of the existing team and will be supporting key projects for the business. Key duties will include;

• Designing products from concept based on the requirements of customer
• Specification components to develop systems in line with project requirements
• Developing technical plans based on research ideas
• Carrying out surveys on equipment and various mechanical systems
• Presenting design plans to Managers and clients
• Producing technical documents that the company requires
• As Design Engineer, Overseeing quality control programmes and overall maintenance in a facility
• Developing CAD project drawings and reviewing drawings from junior team members for accuracy

The Person:

The ideal engineer will be career driven and keen to develop themselves professionally. Tob considered, you will need to fit the following criteria;

• 3 years+ industry experience within Mechanical design
• Relevant industry experience (Such as mechatronic/ Special purpose machinery/ Robotics/ Automated equipment)
• Able to manage multiple projects
• Ability to work well within a team
• Educated to HNC level or above
