Mechanical Design Engineer - REMOTE

Located just outside of Chelmsford, Essex

My client is the world's largest manufacturer in their market, providing bespoke design solutions that protect people and property throughout the world.

They are looking for a candidate with around 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design from various different industries (complex rotating equipment a plus).

The company:

*$1.8BN turnover business.

*They manufacture Interlocks that are attached to valves used in the oil and gas and renewable energy markets.

* This role is forming part of a small team of 3 in UK (one of about 15 design engineers they have globally)

* Bespoke designs, precision engineering and complex rotating equipment. very project driven, fast paced.

*SME environment, must be comfortable in a small team, self-driven.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design 3D solutions

*Collect, review and process technical data.

* Maintain and edit MCDS (Master Control Data Sheet) including key allocation, sequence design and tagging used by our procurement and manufacturing teams

* Process design data in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to prepare production, procurement

and stock.

*Manage design work for several projects simultaneously
