The Role

The senior Design engineer will be a integral member of the existing team and will be supporting key projects for the business. Key duties will include;

• Designing products from concept based on the requirements of customer
• Specification components to develop systems in line with project requirements
• Developing technical plans based on research ideas
• Carrying out surveys on equipment and various mechanical systems
• Presenting design plans to Managers and clients
• Producing technical documents that the company requires
• Conducting product testing
• As Design Engineer, Overseeing quality control programmes and overall maintenance in a facility
• Developing CAD project drawings and reviewing drawings from junior team members for accuracy

The Person

The ideal Design Engineer will be career driven and highly motivated. Key criteria required for the role will be:

• 3 years+ Design Engineering experience
• Experienced within engineering or manufacturing environments
• Have a positive can do attitude
• Be capable of working from engineering brief as well as arrangement models
• Capable of presenting engineering solutions to the wider team
• Degree in relevant mechanical engineering field would be preferred
