We are currently looking for a career driven process engineer for our client, a truly global manufacturing organisation who specialise in the production of highly specialised sustainable packaging products. They supply some of the most high profile E-Commerce businesses in the world and are looking for a dynamic & Career driven Process Engineer to help drive their business performance at their state of the art facility based just outside of Liverpool.

The role

The Process Engineer role will report directly to the head of engineering and provide the role holder full autonomy to identify and drive process improvements across the site. You will engage cross functionally with other departments as and when necessary. You will also assume supervisory responsibilities for technicians with the team (although no prior supervisory experience is necessarily required). Key duties for the Process Engineer will include;

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of current products, processes, equipment, and procedures
  • Recommend improved processes, procedures, equipment, and materials which will enhance the efficiency of manufacture and quality of products.
  • Assist the development and scale-up of new products. Develops SOPs for the Department
  • Work with operating personnel to reduce waste generation
  • As Process Engineer, assist with management team in the function, in the supervision of a small team of technicians

The Person

The company are after a dynamic, highly career driven Process Engineer to join their skilled team. To be considered for the role, you will need the following;

  • 3 years+ experience within a Process engineering role (or similar)
  • Experienced in fast paced manufacturing environments
  • Practically minded in problem-solving, process development & proving -
  • Familiar with structured problem solving methods (e.g. 8D)
  • Strong Interpersonal/ Communication Skills
  • Educated to HNC level or above in relevant discipline
