We are currently looking for a Production Manager / Continuous Improvement Manager for a company who supply industrial products to a wide range of customers across the world. This is a unique opportunity that will provide the role holder an opportunity to make a real impact in the company's performance.

The role

The production manager / continuous improvement manager will be responsible for coordination and support improvement activities in manufacturing areas and improvements across the plant. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Drive improvement activities which are aimed at removing non-value added processes and waste
• Co-ordinate the plant process activities for waste and productivity
• Oversee the supervision team so shop floor management is implemented
• Drive the manufacturing team to deliver CI projects by creating structured plans implementing new ideas and improvements
• Develop positive working relationships
• Promote new thinking in the organisation
• Identify cost reduction opportunities to help with long term improvement

The Person

• Experience working in Production, within a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Worked to team leader/ supervisory level
• Highly self-motivated
• Comfortable user of IT/ systems
• Experience of using CI tools such as FMEA, SMED and 5s
