THE ROLE:

The role will involve leading a skilled team on shift, working with the Operations Manager to drive outputs on site based on Quality/ H&S/ OTIF delivery. You will also be heavily involved in developing the strategic improvement plan for the site, with investment in relevant training and courses being offered to upskill you where needed! Key duties will involve;

• Monitor, track, and performance of the areas production delivery through individual KPI management Ensuring that the team have the right skills, behaviour, development and support to be accountable for delivery of exceptional operational results and improvement for the department and the business as targeted.
• Ensure products meet the strict quality parameters on an operational basis and work with the teams to analyse production failures to develop long term plans to minimise product variability and specification inconsistency.
• Work closely with the team to manage resource and track any costs related to overtime, agency staff, FTE, or FTC employees Delivery of site target of '0' accidents through ownership of audits, tags, near missed, incident reporting

THE PERSON:

The business are looking for highly motivated, career driven individuals who are looking to progress and development themselves professionally. Key criteria for this Production Shift Manager role will be;

• Minimum 3+ years experience in a Shift Managers position (or similar)
• Recent/ Relevant exposure to fast paced manufacturing environments (ideally food/ FMCG/ pharma/ packaging)
• Good experience in modern lean manufacturing techniques and principles
• Experience managing the metrics/ data
• Strong leadership competencies
