Fantastic career opportunity!! An exciting opportunity is available for a career driven Senior Buyer to join a truly global Engineering business at their state of the art facility based locally to the Stafford area. The role will have realistic opportunities for career progression and development!

The role:

You will be report directly to the purchasing manager and will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders to deliver cost effective solutions for operational requirements and provide commercial services in respect to acquiring all materials for the lowest cost.

To deliver robust implementation plans in line with the sourcing of strategy. These plans should support:

• Effective early supplier engagement
• Cost saving projects
• Tendering
• Contracting
• Capacity Management
• Supplier Performance Targets
• Monitor progress of strategies and modifies in line with the changing business environment
• Define strategies to support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities

Experience & Qualifications:

The ideal Senior Buyer will be career focused and keen to further themselves professionally. Key experience required for the role will be as follows…

• 3 years+ Purchasing experience
• Must have purchasing in an Engineering and Production environment
• Strategic sourcing experience
• Strong with MRP systems
• CIPS experience would be desirable
