Are you looking for a new opportunity working for a fast pasted M&E sub contractor?

The client that I am currently representing is searching for a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to assist their current team of assistant QS, Quantity Surveyors and Managers on a large scale MEP project based in Leicester.

The role has become available due to work load demand and the client would like to bring in a Senior M&E QS to bolster their commercial team.

The client:

The client is a mechanical and electrical sub-contractor who turned over around £65M during the pandemic and they are forecast to surpass this in 2022. This client is well known for their success within the M&E commercial and rail sectors and due to this success, they have won a an exciting project based in Leicester.

Personal Specification:

  • Degree qualification in quantity surveying or equivalent.

  • Extensive Tier 2 M&E Subcontractor experience.

  • Capability to measure and price Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Comms systems independently.

  • Minimum 3 years working as a Senior QS with clear career progression shown.

  • Has managed contracts under NEC 3 & NR Contracts (NR3).

  • Track record of delivering projects from start to final account.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on developing a validated budget to build.

  • Administer the applicable contract option in full and in the timescales required.

  • Price submit and agree quotations for change.

  • Ensure positive cash flow on the project.

  • Let & manage all sub-subcontracts.

  • Produce detailed cost & sale report monthly.

  • Create and regularly update costed risk & opportunity schedule.

  • Set up and update revenue and cashflow forecast monthly.

  • Ensure impact programmes are submitted with each quotation.

  • Ensure EOT and Loss & Expense notices are issued on time with the required substantiation.

  • Set up a template and utilise the information produced by the project team to produce an earned value analysis for labour.

  • Meet with and maintain good professional relations with the clients QS.
