Excellent Opportunity!! I am working with an industry leading engineering business who are extremely busy and are looking to recruit a career focused Supply Chain Manager to join their senior site management team. This business have an industry leading range of products and have an impressive growth strategy that will enable excellent opportunities for growth and progression.

THE ROLE

Managing a small team, you will have end to end supply chain responsibility. You will be working strategically, creating and delivering a robust Materials planning solution to support the achievement of the businesses strategic vision. You will be leading the function , providing a high level of service to internal and external customers. The role will require someone to set out operational KPI's for the team as well as having strategic input into the long term success of the function. You will have visibility and group level in this role. Key responsibilities will include;

  • Implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain

  • Manage the MRP module of the ERP system to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to meet the production plan & customer orders, ensure data integrity and MRP message adherence

  • End to end Materials S&OP management

  • Definition of the Inventory Policy and ensure implementation, including consideration of warehouse capacity

  • Where available, increasing the efficiency and stability of the Material and Procurement processes

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will need to have worked in a manufacturing environment. Key attributes for the role will be as follows;

  • Experienced Supply Chain management professional

  • Strong experience in materials/ Inventory planning within a manufacturing setting

  • Self-starter with high energy levels, personal drive and commitment

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify

  • Must be competent user of MRP ssytems
