A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain / Operations Director to join an industry leading manufacturer that is going through a period investment & innovative product development.

The Role
Reporting to the Group Director you will have full autonomy to manage the day to day Supply Chain Operations of a site in the North West. The Supply Chain Operations Director will be responsible for end to end Operations including Supply Chain, Warehousing and Logistics.
Key objectives of the role -
Able to create and execute the strategic plan and vision to enable the Operation to support the overall Business direction
To oversee and direct all operational activities across the business
Define performance management objectives and drive team to achieve in order to deliver operational success
Lead and coach the operational managers to increase employee effectiveness and improve output
Establish a culture of continuous business improvement LEAN Supply Chain initiatives & tools
Implement LEAN procedures to minimise inventory holding and free up working capital,
Improve OTIF performance
Lead and drive a SHEQ culture
Define and standardise warehouse processes, process timings and flow
Continually implement opportunities for cost savings across the business
Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and systems to support delivery of annual budget targets
Maintain ISO9001:2015 accreditation
Contribute to the broader management of the business as a member of the Senior Management Team
The Person
We are looking to recruit an experienced Operational leader for our Global Manufacturing & R&D client.
The ideal candidate -
10+ years' plus experience in Operations in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment
Full end to end, cross functional management experience including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics and Distribution
Exposure to complex / global matrix reporting structures
Experience in a within a Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment operating to ISO9001:2015 procedures
A change agent, confident in driving business and cultural change
Strong people manager with clear and concise leadership skills
Engaging personality, able to empower management team
