8 July 2025BIM Manager
Job Title: BIM Manager
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Industry: Construction - Data Centre Projects
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BIM Manager to lead the Building Information Modelling (BIM) function on high-value data centre construction projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing BIM processes and outputs across the design and construction lifecycle-acting as the key interface between contractors, design consultants, and the end client.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all models and designs are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements-ensuring successful delivery through design validation and issue resolution before construction begins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model Coordination: Oversee and coordinate 3D models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) to ensure seamless integration and clash detection.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the BIM point of contact between contractors, design teams, and clients; manage expectations and ensure all BIM outputs align with the agreed project scope and timelines.
- Design Validation: Review and validate models to confirm they are constructible, compliant with standards, and fit for purpose, raising early-stage design issues for resolution.
- BIM Execution Planning: Develop, maintain, and enforce project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g. ISO 19650).
- Data Management: Ensure accuracy and consistency of model data, metadata, and information outputs for use in construction, procurement, and facility management.
- Software Management: Use and manage common BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and other relevant software for model checking and coordination.
- Quality Assurance: Lead QA/QC reviews of BIM deliverables and ensure compliance with company and client standards.
- Progress Reporting: Produce and maintain BIM progress reports, model audits, and coordination issue logs.
- Support Construction Readiness: Ensure models are suitable for construction sequencing, method statements, and on-site coordination.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a BIM Manager or senior BIM coordination role within the construction industry, ideally on mission-critical or data centre projects.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design processes, digital construction workflows, and information management.
- Expert user of Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 (or similar CDE platforms).
- Experience implementing and managing BIM in accordance with ISO 19650 standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into practical advice.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, BIM).
