Overview
We are seeking an experienced BMS Engineer (Design) to support advanced construction projects, with a particular focus on hyperscale data centre environments. This role will lead the design and engineering of Building Management System solutions, producing high-quality technical documentation and coordinated design packages that integrate with wider CSA and digital delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end BMS Design, including system architecture, points schedules, control strategies, network topology, and cause & effect matrices.
- Produce and maintain engineering drawings, schematics, panel designs, and layouts using Eplan or Ignition (as applicable).
- Develop I/O lists, device schedules, BMS specifications, and technical submittals aligned with project standards.
- Coordinate with M&E, electrical, ICT/OT, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration across hyperscale data centre systems.
- Support design reviews, value engineering, and compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
- Assist with FAT/SAT preparation, commissioning documentation, and resolution of design queries during construction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in BMS design for complex projects, ideally within hyperscale data centre or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC control principles, plant room control, and critical cooling systems (e.g., CRAH/CRAC, chillers, pumps, valves, AHUs).
- Competency with Eplan or Ignition; ability to produce accurate schematics and design documentation.
- Understanding of BMS networking and integration (BACnet, Modbus, IP networking) and interface management with third-party systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and coordinate within BIM/digital workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and technical queries.
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
