Location: London (projects across Central London & surrounding areas)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced BMS Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial building and data centre projects across London.

This role requires a technically strong BMS professional who has progressed into project management and can lead teams, manage clients, and deliver projects end-to-end across fast-paced environments.

You will take ownership of multiple BMS packages from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery against programme, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of BMS projects from handover through to commissioning and client sign-off
• Lead and coordinate BMS engineers, subcontractors, and wider MEP teams
• Deliver projects across commercial offices, mixed-use developments, and data centres
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Act as the primary client interface, chairing meetings and providing updates
• Manage technical submissions, RFIs, and documentation
• Ensure integration of BMS with HVAC, electrical, and critical systems
• Monitor programme, cost, risk, and performance, driving corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry standards
• Identify and manage variations and commercial opportunities
• Support and mentor junior engineers and commissioning teams

Technical Requirements

• Strong hands-on background in BMS / controls engineering
• Experience with major BMS platforms such as Tridium (Niagara N4) and Trend (IQ / IQ Vision)
• Exposure to Schneider, Siemens or similar systems is desirable
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, plant control strategies, and MEP integration
• Ability to review control philosophies, schematics, and system architecture
• Experience supporting or overseeing commissioning, functional testing, and optimisation

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a BMS Project Manager or Senior Engineer stepping up
• Track record delivering commercial BMS projects (£500k – £3m+)
• Exposure to data centre or mission-critical environments is highly desirable
• Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, cost reporting, and variations

Qualifications (Desirable)

• HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Electrical, or Controls Engineering
• SMSTS, SSSTS, or CSCS
• Manufacturer certifications such as Trend or Tridium
• PRINCE2 or PMP
