HSE Advisor / HSE Manager / HSE Consultant – Netherlands

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HSE Advisor, HSE Manager, or HSE Consultant to support a major data centre construction project in the Netherlands on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Health, Safety & Environmental professional with proven construction site experience, ideally within data centres, mission critical, industrial, or large-scale engineering environments.

The Role

Working as part of the project team, you will be responsible for driving site safety standards, ensuring compliance, and promoting a proactive safety-first culture across a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day health, safety, and environmental activities on site
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
• Ensure compliance with project safety procedures and local legislation
• Review RAMS, permits to work, and safe systems of work
• Deliver toolbox talks and support workforce safety engagement
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
• Work closely with contractors, site teams, and project leadership to maintain exceptional HSE standards

Requirements

• Strong background in Health & Safety / HSE
• Proven experience working on construction sites
• Demonstrable site-based safety management experience
• Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ, Diploma, or equivalent
• Experience working on data centre, mission critical, industrial, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving project environment
• Full right to work in Europe is essential
