The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers, Mechanical Engineers & Electrical Engineers to join a successful and well-established manufacturing business based in Glossop.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in keeping production running safely and efficiently.
You will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and continuous improvement across a range of manufacturing equipment and site services.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and equipment.

Responding to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repair.

Electrical and mechanical fault finding.

Working on a range of automated and manufacturing machinery.

Supporting installation, commissioning and modification of equipment.

Identifying recurring faults and implementing improvements to improve reliability.

Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing relevant documentation.

Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.

Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects across the site.
About You
We are looking for an engineer with a strong multi-skilled maintenance background, ideally gained within a manufacturing or production environment.
You will ideally have:

Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC or equivalent).

Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.

Experience of fault finding on industrial machinery.

Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

Good understanding of electrical control systems, sensors, motors and drives.

Mechanical maintenance experience including bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulics.

A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.
