An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Signature Management Engineer to join a specialist maritime engineering team working on technically challenging projects that support national security.

This is a predominantly electrical engineering role, focused on delivering designs, test criteria and practical solutions against complex technical requirements.

The organisation operates a hybrid working model designed to support flexibility and work-life balance, with flexitime available around core business requirements.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop advanced electrical schematics.

• Analyse and optimise electrical systems to ensure performance and efficiency.

• Generate detailed requirements for electrical systems.

• Capture and document electrical schematics and designs with precision.

• Select appropriate cables and protective devices, ensuring safety and reliability.

• Provide technical advice and review electrical component selection.

• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver effective technical solutions.

• Support a variety of engineering tasks across projects and programmes.

• Participate in internal and external technical meetings.

• Maintain accurate and organised engineering documentation in line with established procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

• Strong team-working and collaborative skills.

• Experience specifying electrical components.

• Good knowledge of relevant electrical standards.

• A flexible and adaptable approach to engineering.

• Ability to learn quickly and apply engineering principles to new challenges.

• Experience with electrical schematic capture and drawing review.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of electronics.

• Experience designing electrical systems.

• Experience using Zuken E3 or similar electrical design software.

• Experience working within complex or highly regulated engineering environments.

Additional Information

• Some travel will be required, primarily within the UK, with occasional international travel as necessary.

• Applicants must meet the relevant security vetting requirements for the role.
