The Role

Work collaboratively with the engineering and site construction teams.
Encourage the BIM team to find innovative solutions and technology to drive performance.
Drive site digitisation and BIM technology within the company.
Drive the use of BIM stations, point cloud scanning and 3D printing within the company.
Manage BIM hardware and software systems ensuring DG are at the leading edge of the industry.
Provide guidance and direction to BIM team to ensure operational and technical excellence.
Develop, implement, and monitor BIM standards and procedures to meet project requirements.
Manage project budget, resource identification and drawing production schedules for the BIM team.
Initiate and maintain contact with clients for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues.
Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies.
Hire, train and supervise BIM users in core application skills and standards.
Evaluate team members for their technical skills, performance, and productivity.
Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the standards set out in the Project BIM Execution Plan.

The Person

A Level 7/8 Degree in BIM, Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar.
Minimum 10 years' experience in BIM management or a similar role.
Strong understanding of BIM concept from design through to construction and handover.
Good knowledge the ISO 19650 suite of BIM standards.
Knowledge of key BIM software packages such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, MagiCAD, Dynamo etc.
