Position Overview: As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our data centre project in Berlin. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mission-critical construction and possess the skills to manage and optimise project costs effectively. Data centre experience is preferred, and the candidate must have the right to work in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates for the data centre project.
2. Conduct thorough cost analysis, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and recommending value engineering solutions.
3. Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
4. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
5. Analyse project documentation to identify potential risks and provide proactive solutions.
6. Prepare and present detailed cost reports to project stakeholders.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and cost benchmarks related to mission-critical construction and data centre projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Cost Engineer in mission-critical construction projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation and budgeting.
4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
5. Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
7. Data centre construction experience is preferred.
8. Right to work in Berlin is essential.
