Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning process for our data center projects across Europe. As a Lead Commissioning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our data center construction projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will lead a team of commissioning engineers and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Lead the commissioning process for data center projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Be a competent Leader and Manager of people - this is the most important aspect of this position and you must have a demonstrated, successful track record in doing this

Client-liaison - you must be competent with client and stakeholder management, business development and account management, and strong contractor/subcontractor oversight

Manage and mentor a team of commissioning engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of commissioning activities.

Where necessary conduct and/or organise inspections, tests, and verifications of critical systems and components, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire suppression systems

Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Requirements:

Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in commissioning and testing of data center facilities, including electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, and mission-critical infrastructure.

Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to data center construction.

Familiarity with commissioning tools, software, and testing methodologies.

Willingness to travel within Europe and work flexible hours as needed.
