About Us: My client is a leading general contractor specialising in high-tech construction projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team for an exciting data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany.

Position Overview: As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a state-of-the-art data centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical packages, possess mission-critical construction experience, and be familiar with the unique challenges of data centre projects. This role requires a candidate with exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely cost advice on mechanical and electrical packages.
  • Prepare and analyse tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and address any cost-related issues.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in mission-critical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical packages within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with data centre construction is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Right to work in Germany is a must.
