As they continue to expand our operations, I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team for an exciting data centre project based in Dublin.

Position Overview: As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a prestigious data centre project. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the mechanical and electrical quantity surveying functions, ensuring accurate cost management, and providing strategic support to the project team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking for significant career progression, with the potential to advance to Director level within a rapidly growing consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical and electrical quantity surveying activities for the data centre project.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Provide strategic advice to support decision-making and optimise project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in mission-critical construction projects, particularly data centres.
  • Professional membership or accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in successful project delivery and cost management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant construction contracts and procurement methods.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
