Role Overview

An experienced Commissioning Manager is required to join the UK delivery team, overseeing commissioning activities on hyperscale data centre projects. Reporting to the Commissioning Director, this position is responsible for managing the full commissioning lifecycle - from design through to integrated systems testing and handover.
The role is primarily remote but will require regular site presence in West London and occasional travel to other UK project locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and manage commissioning activities for hyperscale data centre projects across the UK.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle (RIBA Stages 1-5), ensuring all technical and quality benchmarks are met.
• Coordinate commissioning schedules, documentation, and testing processes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and approve commissioning documentation, including method statements and test scripts.
• Oversee and witness FATs, SATs, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for all MEP and critical systems.
• Collaborate closely with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure project readiness for handover.
• Support risk assessment and mitigation strategies during all project stages.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to junior team members and commissioning engineers.
• Maintain progress reporting to the Commissioning Director and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in commissioning management or MEP project management within data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Proven experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 1-5.
• Previous exposure to large-scale hyperscale or enterprise data centre projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
• Flexible and willing to attend sites across the UK as required.
