Commissioning Engineer - MV Projects (Critical Infrastructure | Europe)

Permanent Position | Locations: Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands & across Europe


Join a leading international team delivering medium-voltage (MV) systems for cutting-edge data centres, energy facilities, and other mission-critical environments across Europe.

The Role

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will take ownership of the testing, commissioning, and integration of MV systems across multiple projects in Northern and Western Europe. You'll work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery, safety compliance, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute commissioning activities on MV electrical systems (typically 11kV-33kV).

  • Perform system testing, fault finding, and validation of protection schemes and control systems.

  • Ensure all commissioning documentation, reports, and test records are completed accurately.

  • Collaborate with design, construction, and client teams to resolve technical issues.

  • Support the handover of fully tested and compliant systems to the client.

  • Travel regularly to project sites across Europe (typically on a rotation or project basis).

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience commissioning MV switchgear, transformers, and protection relays.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and critical infrastructure environments (data centres, utilities, industrial plants, etc.).

  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification (Degree, HND, or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with commissioning procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently and travel across multiple European locations.

  • English fluency is essential; additional European languages are an advantage.
