BIM Specialist / BIM Coordinator - Industrial & Mission Critical Projects

Overview

We are seeking a skilled BIM Specialist / BIM Coordinator to support the design, coordination, and delivery of complex industrial and infrastructure projects, including data centres, healthcare facilities, large commercial buildings, and EPC environments.
The role combines technical BIM delivery, multidisciplinary coordination, and on-site support, working closely with engineering teams, clients, and contractors to ensure high-quality, coordinated, and buildable project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models using Autodesk Revit across electrical, architectural, and structural disciplines
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks Manage, resolving interferences in collaboration with project stakeholders
• Support large-scale industrial and mission-critical projects, ensuring BIM models align with design intent, technical standards, and construction requirements
• Manage collaborative workflows using Autodesk BIM Collaborate, supporting multi-disciplinary and multi-location teams
• Conduct site surveys and field measurements, including laser scanning and point cloud processing (ReCap Pro), to produce accurate as-built and base models
• Review and analyse technical drawings for electrical systems, structural components, and critical infrastructure elements, proposing optimised solutions
• Support project delivery through on-site inspections, technical coordination, and installation support
• Contribute to project planning, workload management, and task coordination within the technical team
• Perform or support structural and seismic analyses and ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and regulations
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and BIM outputs aligned with European and international standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a BIM Specialist, BIM Coordinator, or similar role on industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and BIM Collaborate
• Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and multidisciplinary integration
• Familiarity with laser scanning, point cloud processing, and site-based data collection
• Solid understanding of engineering standards (European and/or international)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced technical environment
• Strong communication skills and experience working with clients, engineers, and contractors

Desirable Skills

• Experience with data centre, healthcare, or EPC projects
• Knowledge of electrical systems (busbars, cable trays, panels, transformers)
• Structural or seismic analysis experience (e.g. SAP2000)
• GIS, advanced analysis, or programming experience is a plus
