The Role

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the full lifecycle development of advanced electronic systems - from concept through to production. You will act as a technical authority within the team, contributing to both hands-on design and strategic engineering decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic systems from concept to production
  • Provide technical expertise across all areas of electronics engineering
  • Analyse and validate electronic circuits
  • Generate and define system requirements
  • Produce and review schematics and technical designs
  • Support and advise on PCB layout, including design reviews
  • Select and evaluate electronic components
  • Contribute to a variety of engineering tasks across multiple projects
  • Engage in internal and external stakeholder meetings
  • Interface directly with customers on technical matters
  • Ensure documentation is maintained in line with internal procedures
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

Essential:

  • HNC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Proven experience in electronic design, ideally within a regulated or high-reliability environment
  • Strong analogue circuit design and simulation experience
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes
  • Experience with communication protocols such as RS485, I2C, SPI
  • Experience with schematic capture and design reviews
  • Understanding of PCB layout and design supervision
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • A collaborative mindset with a flexible, proactive approach

Desirable:

  • Experience with EMC design
  • Digital circuit design knowledge
  • Wiring definition experience
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer
  • Background in defence, aerospace, or similar high-integrity sectors
