Machine & Assembly Operator

Location: Grojec (35 minutes from Warsaw)
5 days a week on site

Our client is very well established in the Data Centre space, in the US & Europe markets – they have joined forces with another very well-known client and invested in a manufacturing centre in Poland. In this space, all manufacturing for the Data Centres will take place, the Machines used will be laser CNC and more.

This job spec is inclusive of duties to include all areas, although some duties may not be listed, we also encourage a phone call with myself to explain the role and business in more detail as there is a lot of points which can’t transfer over a job spec!

Role Overview
The Machine & Assembly Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, supporting the fabrication and assembly of strut systems and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) module components. The role involves operating roll-forming and semi-automated welding machinery, carrying out quality inspections, handling materials, and supporting overall manufacturing operations.

Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and QHSE teams, this position ensures that all products are manufactured to specification, delivered on time, and aligned with safety and continuous improvement standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate automated strut roll-forming equipment in line with production schedules and engineering requirements.
Carry out in-process quality checks, including dimensional accuracy, hole patterns, and visual inspections.
Operate semi-automatic welding equipment while maintaining quality and output targets.
Fabricate strut components and associated hardware for MEP module assemblies.
Assemble strut framing systems and support structures from technical drawings and work instructions.
Safely move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods using overhead cranes and forklifts.
Prepare completed products for shipment to additional manufacturing or project locations.
Kit materials and components to support subassembly production.
Complete ERP transactions including material issuing, job completion, and inventory movements.
Interpret basic blueprints, bills of materials, and production instructions.
Perform basic machine setup and routine preventative maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate production records and support inventory control processes.
Adhere to all health & safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with 5S principles.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional training.

Skills & Experience

Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
Knowledge of fabrication processes, assembly techniques, and inspection methods.
Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes (or willingness to obtain certification).
Basic IT skills, including experience using ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement is advantageous.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, construction, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in medium-duty fabrication and assembly environments required.
Machine operation experience is beneficial.
Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and ERP systems is advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential.
Relevant certifications (e.g. forklift or crane operation) are a plus.
