We are seeking an experienced M&E Commissioning Manager with a strong mechanical bias (though electrical knowledge is welcomed) to join the team in Sunderland.

- Rotation: Monday to Friday
- Competitive Market Rate (Can provide accommodation)
- Duration: 12 months (extension likely)
- Start: As Soon As Possible (Notice periods can be considered)
- Outside IR35
This role sits more on the client-side, overseeing commissioning activities with a focus on weights commissioning. We are particularly looking for candidates with main contractor or client-side experience who can confidently lead commissioning processes and manage stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all commissioning activities on-site, with emphasis on mechanical systems (air and water systems).
- Act as the commissioning manager, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Manage commissioning time lines, reporting, and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of commissioning works.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of testing, inspection, and validation.
- Ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are achieved throughout the commissioning phase.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong background in mechanical commissioning within MEP projects.
- Proven experience of working client-side or with a main contractor.
- Excellent understanding of commissioning processes for air and water systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to take ownership of commissioning activities and lead effectively.
