Flashback to the beginning of lockdown when working from home was more of a novelty.
When the highlight of your day was waiting in anticipation for DPD to arrive. Waking up, getting on some sweatpants, and starting work. Zooms in pyjamas or from the waist down (nobody would ever know) then change into new pyjamas after work and repeat.
This grew tiresome fast. I was missing the days of making a latte, doing my makeup, and putting an outfit together, it was my morning ritual.
It made me feel me. But I didn’t realise how much I missed it until we had the slight normality of going back into the office.
It made me more confident, which totally changed my outlook on working from home.
Spending the extra time on yourself in the morning comes as a blessing in disguise.
It’s a good way of shifting your mindset from relaxed to productive.
It’s a form of self-care which goes hand in hand with an improvement in mental health. Something Core Talent has always focused on.
With the new announcements dressing for the 21st of June has now become something many people can get excited about. Getting dressed up, going out for one too many with your friends is something that is long overdue, and we shouldn’t take it for granted once it happens.
But for now, I’ll be getting in my best clothes for the weekly trip to Aldi
