​The January Transfer WindowIn more ways than one, a direct comparison can be made between the busy January period in the world of recruitment and Football’s January transfer window.Take Liverpool FC for example, for all their flair going forward they have had to shell out £75 million for a defender to prevent them conceding from corners against teams such as Swansea…in contrast to United, for all their lack of excitement up front they have managed to pull off potentially the deal of a season by bringing in Alexis Sanchez from a direct rival, with no money changing hands.This can be related to recruitment, the decision makers review their teams and decide where they need to strengthen or potentially even letting some of their top guys go to suit the needs of the business.....or in Arsenal’s case, trying to manage a terrible business plan!January is also the time of the year when candidates look to make that dream move, whether that is individuals with ambition of moving up into a management position or for those that are looking to take on less responsibility, have less of a commute or more family time.Not forgetting us recruiters, putting in the hard yards in January can set you up for the long hard season ahead.
